Bethel Ladies Missionary Society
Our society is comprised of 20 women who are active in fund raising for charitable groups.
The 2008 officers are:
Moderator – Carol Allison
Vice Moderator – Jean Walker
Secretary – Marilyn Cochran
Treasurer – Eleanor Winsheimer
Assistant Secretary-Treasurer – Dora Predko
Members also serve on various in-house committees to ensure the smooth function of the society. Meetings are normally held on the second Thursday evening each month at 7:00 p.m. in the Glory Room of the church. Members have a quilting work day on a Saturday in February making quilts for fire victims, etc. One of this year’s projects is to also raise enough money to purchase health kits to be used in disaster areas. Our major fund raiser is an annual Spaghetti Dinner which will be held at the church on April 26, 2008, from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. Tickets are $6 for adults and $3.00 for children ages 5-12. It is an all you can eat event. Carry out is also available.
A new fund raiser this year will be a Quilt and Antique Tractor Show which will take place on Saturday, July 12th from 2:00-7:00 p.m. The goal is to have 100 quilts on display and approximately 50 tractors.
