Youth Group

The Bethel Youth Group is made up of youth in the church from 7th through 12th grade and usually meets twice a month.  They combine both service and fun activities in their monthly meetings.  One way they help the community is by collecting trash along the road by the church.  They also have a “Helping Hands” group that does yard work at the church and at the home of members of the church.  Frequently, the youth group sponsors a Hunter’s Breakfast that is in conjunction with an all night lock-in.  The youth begin serving pancakes at 4 am to hunters throughout the community.  The money raised at the breakfast goes to help support their mission interests.

            Another area of interest for the youth group is sticking.  This involves using dowel rods to create interpretive movement to modern Christian music.  The youth have shared their talents with other churches in the community as well as at the Indiana County Fair.  It’s an annual tradition for the youth to perform a sticking routine for the Easter Sunrise service.  This service, led by the youth, takes place on the hill above the church weather permitting.  The Bethel Youth Group also purchases gifts for a Christmas Angel during Christmas.
